Raise the Bar Challenge #14 - Movie Mania

This week's challenge is Movie Mania! Create a card based on one of your favorite movies. Don't forget to check out the Raise the Bar blog to see the rest of the DT's lovely cards!

First, New Moon isn't really my favorite movie, lol. Love Actually is...but I made this card for someone who just loves the whole Twilight Saga.

And before you all freak out on me about my flower...I will explain. I first bought Twilight and New Moon in paperbacks...but then had to buy Eclipse and Breaking Dawn in hardback. Well, you and the world know that I can't stand things that don't match, lol. So I now own all 4 in hardback...so yes, I sacrificed my New Moon paperback to make flowers.

Paper: Basic Grey Boxer
Stamps: The Greeting Farm
CTMH Brads, Rhinestones, Crystal Stickles, Copics, Twine, CTMH Buttons, and Nestabilities

I am so excited! I saw on Marianne's blog that she is going to be here in Seattle for the opening of a new art supply store. It's called Blick Art and they sell all the Copic refills! This is glorious for me...so when my marker runs dry I don't have to pout and wait a week for the mail man! :)
Everyone have a fabulous weekend! I'm getting my hair done today! It's one of my favorite things! So relaxing! :)

  1. Gorgeous card (as usual) Sparkle. I feel I'm one of the only chicas on the planet who hasn't been bitten (pardon the pun) by the Twilight bug. Haven't read the books, haven't seen the movies - not really interested in starting either, however, I can totally understand the appeal and absolutely love your card!!

Marianne is coming down under to Australia next month too!! And, I'm attending a Copic Certification course with her - I'm wayyy, wayyy, wayyyy toooooo excited about it (not that you can tell, or anything).

  2. Oh whew...I'm not the only one who hasn't jumped on the Twilight bandwagon judging from the comment above! LOL

Your card is terrific, Sparkle. I love all the glittery accents you've given it.

How exciting for you about the new store opening AND for being able to get your hair done! Enjoy!!

  7. Your card is super cute. Perfect for a Twilight fan. I loved the comment about your books. As soon as you said the other 2 were in hardback, I knew immediately that a mismatched set would never do. LOL. Fantastic job. And how fun about the new store opening near you. I'm sure you need lots of refills.

  8. FABULOUS card!! Haha, too funny about the flowers... I am the same way with my books! In fact, I knew I'd like the books before I even read them, so I started out buying in hardcover in the first place, haha.

Exciting news about the new store!! I need to hunt around and find out if there is an art store that carries copics here... with 2 million people, they're bound to have one, right?

  12. Fabulous Card!!!! I am most definitely a Twilight fan - mostly the books though, not so much the movies, though I do watch them, the books are much better! My little sis just read the series and said to me the other night - "I sort of thought you were all nutters or something when you were raving about Twilight, but now I TOTALLY get it!" And guess who is reading them now? Her hubby! I say fanatastic - the men could all learn something from Edward Cullen! lol! The flower is so perfect and your card ROCKS!

  19. Well, I'm a fan of Twilight and I love that you made the flower using the pages with names on it that are recognizable. Such a great Edward card. I've always been team Edward, but after seeing the New Moon movies - Jacob's looking pretty good. lol (yes I'm an almost 40 year old saying that - yikes!)
