SCRS Challenge #103 - Sketch Challenge and Cafe Lucy Card

Welcome to Week 2 of Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge #103!  We appreciate you taking the time to join our challenge and look forward to seeing your creations each week. You have until Sunday, 05/05/13 @ 9 PM PST to play along with our new challenge which is a sketch challenge:

Our challenge is open to all players. Every 2 challenges (4 weeks) a random winner will be chosen, and the winner will receive a SCRS rubber stamp! In order to qualify for a prize, you must use a Sparkle Creations image on your creation. Most importantly, have fun! We can't wait to see your creations!

I have this box of colored images and unfinished projects...and I was inspired by my friend +Sheila Gay who's resolution this year was to use stuff that she has, but hasn't used yet.  I made this card for my friend...but her birthday isn't until June.  Just in case my life gets busy again, I wanted to make sure this got done.  Especially since I'll see her the 2nd week of June.

+Peggy Toole  loves green as much as I do...and we're both Starbucks girls. :)  When we took the Intermediate Copic Certification class, we went to Starbucks 4 times in one day, lol.  So, I'm using these Basic Grey paper pads for the first time...along with an assortment of stamps from Paper Smooches, Papertrey Ink, Impress Rubber Stamps and A Muse.  Here is the inside of my card.

To play along in our challenge, upload a photo of your project and provide a direct link in the linky widget at the bottom of this SCRS post. If for any reason the linky isn't there, please add a link to your challenge creation in the comments below. If you use an online gallery (e.g. Splitcoast), please also use the keywords SCRSC103 and SparkleCreations (no spaces). If you have a Facebook account and are a fan of Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, you can also upload there. Deadline for challenge #103 is Sunday, May 5th @ 9 PM PST.

I hope you all have a lovely Tuesday!  Can you believe this month is coming to an end already?!?

Spring Cherry Blossom Rin Thanks Card and Goal Updates

For my birthday, my in-laws gave me money.  With my trips to Boston, New York City, and Las Vegas, I appreciate having a little bit of extra spending money.  I've been so busy with work, but I am looking forward to spending time with Catherine (My BFF) in May.  This is the thank you card I made them.

Confession time...I ended up using this card base upside down, lol.  The largest background panel was suppose to be at the bottom of the card.  But I think the card still turned out great and doesn't look too off balance.  Here's the inside of the card.

Sadly, I never got around to updating my goals for March.  I will be combining them together as I've been extremely busy.  I also didn't get to tally my goals from last year, so I have also included that is this as well.

My Day Job Goals
  • Vault Teller Manual - ALL
  • Designated Trainer Kits - USA
  • Assistant Manager Training - ALL
  • Management Training for myself
We're making major changes to our software and I've been busy creating training materials and my webinar presentations.  I'll be training all of the USA stores and this goes live May 28, 2013.

 Sparkle Creations Goals
  • More cost effective
  • Monthly Sales Goal
  • More time with my team
  • Card Kits
I started on my card kits, but I've been so busy with my day job, I probably won't have these done until June.

 Personal Goals
  • Project Life
  • Spend $2,220 on groceries, household items, beauty products and newspapers for the year
  • Time Management
  • Be more healthy
I really want to blog regularly again, so I'm hoping to post  at least 5 times a week.  I hope to do this through the whole summer.  Then I will work into weaving time for commenting again as well.  I've already got things set up for the next couple of weeks, so I hope to get back to my old routine.
